How much should I water flower beds?

With or without irrigation, it is important not to over-water your flower beds and to use mulch to protect the soil from drying out

Similar to your lawn, flower beds typically need about 1" of water per week, including any rain.

Tip: Avoid allowing flower beds next to the foundation to become flooded or soaked as this can cause localized swelling and result in the lifting of the foundation slab around the edges.
