Smoke detector is chirping?
Try changing the 9V battery and dusting off the smoke detector
Tip: You should test your smoke detectors once a month.
To test the batteries, press and hold the test button for at least five seconds until you hear the beeps.
Replace the alkaline batteries every year.
Note: You should remove dust from your smoke detectors every six months.
Using a vacuum hose extension is an easy way to do this.
If your smoke alarm starts to chirp, you'll want to check the batteries and clean/dust the smoke detector to ensure there is not anything disrupting the sensors.
