What do I do if my home was damaged during a storm?

Contact your homeowner's insurance agent immediately.

Important: In the event of a storm or natural disaster that causes damage to your home, you should immediately contact your homeowner's insurance agent.

Contain the damage as much as possible without endangering yourself.

Taking photos of the damage is recommended when you can do so without placing yourself at risk for injury or causing further damage.

Damage from a storm is not covered under your home's warranty and although it is unfortunate when these situations occur, it is the reason for having homeowner's insurance - so that you're covered when a bad weather event occurs.
